The monastery of Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs stands in the population entity of the same name, at the northern end of the municipal area of Avinyonet del Penedès, next to the border with Subirats and near the BV-2429 road. It was originally a Benedictine priory from medieval times and today functions as the village's parish church. In the year 2000 it was declared an asset of national cultural interest. The settlement retains the rural character of the Alt Penedès, with the old monastic building as the main architectural landmark of the place.
