From nine hundred forty residents to two hundred sixty-eight

The village went from 227 souls in 1849 to a maximum of 940 inhabitants in 1950 and to 268 in 2025; at Easter it still climbs in pilgrimage festival to the pine wood by the lagoon and on 2 February it recites the coplas of the Candelas.
