The Cernadilla reservoir

The dam bearing the village's name forms, together with that of Valparaíso, the chain of reservoirs on the río Tera; beneath its waters lies the submerged former settlement of Anta de Tera, now vanished from the map. The reservoir stretches upstream, depending on the flow of the Tera, to near Puebla de Sanabria, and ends at the dam itself, located within the municipal district of Cernadilla.
