Church of San Cipriano de San Cebrián de Mazote Monument · San Cebrián de Mazote, Montes Torozos, Valladolid One of Spain's great Mozarabic churches, located in the centre of San Cebrián de Mazote (Valladolid), where it serves as parish church within the archdiocese of Valladolid. Built in the early 10th century over a 7th-century Visigothic origin, it is linked to the reign of Ordoño II of León: it belonged to a monastery founded by Abbot Martín together with a Mozarabic monastic community from Córdoba, in Al-Andalus, and a document from the year 952 mentions its abandonment in favour of San Martín de Castañeda. It has three naves separated by horseshoe arcades on reused columns and three apses with an inscribed horseshoe-shaped plan. It has been a National Monument since 22 July 1916.
