Church of San Pedro Apóstol de Langayo Monument · Langayo, Campo de Peñafiel, Valladolid Standing atop the hill, overlooking the village, this late Romanesque church was begun in the 13th century and underwent major reforms in the 15th, among them the porch with a basket-arch on its south front. Its corbels show human figures, a lion, a crocodile and a pig. Inside, with three naves, the main chapel displays a 15th-century star-ribbed vault. The main altarpiece, from the first half of the 17th century, comes from the church of Santa María in Peñafiel, which sold it in 1744, and is topped with an Assumption from the school of Gregorio Fernández. In the Epistle nave is preserved the panel of San Pedro attributed to the Master of Osma, together with a Baroque altarpiece of 1748 with a sculpture of san Bernardo.
