The Church of the Asunción of Trévago Monument · Trévago, Moncayo, Soria A Gothic church from the mid-16th century with an attached tower that dominates the townscape; it is the largest building in a municipality of twenty square kilometres and fewer than fifty inhabitants. The tower, of Berber origin and reused as a bell tower when the church was built in the late 12th or early 13th century, retains its upper battlements; almost square in plan and built of rubble masonry in the manner of rammed earth, it is entered from the first floor. The church, with a single nave ending in an eight-sided apse reached through a wide triumphal arch, was built and enlarged in several phases between the 15th and 18th centuries; its central nave, the oldest part, boasts star vaults with tiercerons decorated with studs and scenes of the Passion.
