Veganzones, a town in its own right

Historical milestone · Veganzones, Tierra de Pinares, Segovia

Founded by the bishop of Segovia between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries under the name of Vega de Infanzones, the locality remained under episcopal dominion until in 1615 Felipe III granted it the title of villa de por sí y sobre sí.
