The Way of San Frutos

Through La Lastrilla passes the Camino de San Frutos, a pilgrimage and hiking route linking Segovia cathedral with the ermita de San Frutos, in the Hoces del Río Duratón nature park, where the tombs of the saint and his siblings San Valentín and Santa Engracia are kept. Tradition places the three siblings living in Segovia in the 7th century; after the death of their parents they withdrew to the Hoces to lead an ascetic life and built a monastic complex there, of which the Romanesque building crowning one of the heights of the area survives. The municipality also preserves the Baroque church of San Juan Bautista.
