The verracos of Las Merchanas

From the castro come two Vettonian zoomorphic sculptures popularly known as the Verraco of Las Merchanas and the Donkey of La Barrera. Like the rest of the verracos of the border, they are interpreted as markers of pastures and protectors of livestock.
