The Iron Road of La Fregeneda

To cross Las Arribes, the railway stretch between La Fregeneda and Barca de Alba needed twenty tunnels and a dozen bridges excavated and laid over the precipice. The line was opened in 1887 and closed in 1985; today it is walked on foot.
