The transfer from Ávila to the jurisdiction of Salamanca

Between the eleventh and fifteenth centuries the town was tied to the Comunidad de Villa y Tierra of Ávila; in the first third of the fifteenth century it was incorporated into the jurisdiction of Salamanca and thus passed to the Kingdom of León, a change that the division of 1833 confirmed.
