The annexed village of Berganciano is documented as Bregançiano, a direct reference to its resettlement with people who came from Bragança, «Bregancia» in Leonese; neighbouring Gejo de los Reyes was called Seyxu in the thirteenth century and Xexo in the sixteenth.
