Villares Sordo, the village of houses

Recorded as Villares Sordo in the thirteenth century and as Villares Dardo in the fifteenth, its name comes from medieval Leonese, where villares meant «houses». With 22 inhabitants, it is today one of the most depopulated municipalities in the province.
