The church and tower of Cepeda Monument · Cepeda, Sierra de Francia, Salamanca Image of Cepeda, not of the place itself. The church was begun in the sixteenth century and continued into the eighteenth, with Baroque predominating and a seventeenth-century altarpiece by the joiner Ambrosio de Villalobos. The tower, freestanding and from the seventeenth century, served to summon the residents by the ringing of the bell. Photo: Juan Gascon (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Cepeda
