The birth of Santo Domingo de Guzmán

Son of Félix de Guzmán and Juana de Aza, the founder of the Order of Preachers was born in this town. In 1237 the blessed Manés promoted a chapel over the house of his birth, and in 1266 Alfonso X turned it into a monastery.
