The corridor between la Paramera and Gredos

The village, at 1,238 metres, is set between the sierra de la Paramera to the north and that of Gredos to the south, in a corridor of pastures and granite outcrops that has lost population without let-up: from 656 inhabitants in the middle of the 19th century to fewer than two hundred today.
