The auction of the litter-bars

Activity · Santa Cruz del Valle, Arenas de San Pedro, Ávila

Image of Santa Cruz del Valle, not of the place itself.

During the festivities of the Exaltation of the Cross, from 13 to 17 September, the residents bid for the poles of the litter to carry the image on their shoulders; what is raised, along with the offerings, goes to the parish.
