Church of Santo Domingo de Silos

Parish church dedicated to Santo Domingo de Silos, whose dedication recalls an old hermitage consecrated to the saint who gave his name to the settlement, formerly called Val de Santo Domingo for its location in a valley. The settlement is already mentioned in a Mozarabic document of 1216. Next to the church stands the hermitage of Santa Ana, in whose honour and that of Santiago festivities are held on 25 and 26 July.
