Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Quismondo

Monument · Quismondo, Torrijos, Toledo

Parish church of Quismondo whose titular saint, since the parish's founding, has been Our Lady of the Assumption, celebrated on 15 August. Since 1559 San Roque was proclaimed co-patron, celebrated the following day, 16 August; the religious ceremonies in honour of both are the centre of the village's patronal festivities, followed with great participation from the local community. The church tower is one of its notable features, and the temple is accompanied by the hermitage of San Roque.
