The church of Our Lady of the Assumption, a 16th-century temple and the main monument of Arcicóllar, in the Torrijos district (Toledo), is in Mudéjar style. It was declared a historic-artistic monument on 27 August 1982, by a royal decree published in the Boletín Oficial del Estado and signed by King Juan Carlos I and the then Minister of Culture, Soledad Becerril; it is now considered a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection).
