11th-century Islamic fortification also known as the Cueva del Moro, in Albarreal de Tajo (Toledo), which controlled access to Toledo and formed part of the defensive system of the Tagus valley. It is now in a ruinous state, though remains of Islamic pottery and of the castle itself attest to its historical importance; it is included in the Lista Roja del Patrimonio (a Spanish register of heritage at risk) due to its state of conservation.
