Church of Santa María Magdalena de Garciotum Monument · Garciotum, Sierra de San Vicente, Toledo The church of Santa María Magdalena, in Garciotum, in the Toledo district of the Sierra de San Vicente, is a Gothic-Renaissance church built in the late 15th century, with a single nave and a semicircular apse. It is built of rubble masonry, except for the tower, a 17th-century work in ashlar and brick. The interior capitals show plant, human-figure and animal iconography, and the portal, from the time of the Catholic Monarchs, combines a round-arched entrance framed by an alfiz with plant-motif decoration typical of the Gothic-Renaissance style of the period.
