The marzipan of Sonseca

Sonseca is one of Spain's major centres of marzipan and turrón making, with workshops that multiply their output during the Christmas season. The first marzipan workshops were set up in the municipality during the 19th century, and the confectionery industry has come to generate up to 10,000 jobs in peak season, together with turrón production.
