Hermitage of Santa Quiteria de Marjaliza Monument · Marjaliza, Montes de Toledo, Toledo A hermitage located on the outskirts of the village, near the cemetery, dedicated to Saint Quiteria, patron saint of the town and the centre of its main festival, celebrated from 21 to 23 May. Tradition places the saint's martyrdom and burial there in the early 2nd century. After the damage suffered by the parish church of St John the Baptist during the Carlist Wars, the hermitage came to serve as the village's parish church.
