The church of Santa María Magdalena is the parish temple of Villasequilla, in the Toledo district of Mesa de Ocaña, and dates, together with its adjoining chapel, from the 16th century. As early as the 19th century it was documented as a first-class parish, and, together with the Plaza Mayor, it remains the town's main monumental landmark.
