The 1583 sale of Villamuelas

The town belonged to the archbishopric of Toledo from the time of Rodrigo Jiménez de Rada until 1583, when Felipe II sold it to Álvaro de Alcocer. In the 12th century it had absorbed the deserted farmstead of Cerva Longa.
