The fire at the tire graveyard

On 13 May 2016 the illegal dump of used tyres located in the municipal district caught fire, with more than seventy thousand tonnes accumulated. The column of smoke forced homes to be evacuated and it is considered one of the greatest recent environmental disasters in Spain.
