The parish church of San Pedro Advíncula de Las Ventas de Retamosa is dedicated to the saint who gives the municipality its name, whose feast day is celebrated on 1 August, and to its co-patron saint, the Virgen del Carmen, in whose honor the main festivities are held between 7 and 17 July. The church's existence was already recorded in Pascual Madoz's geographical dictionary, published in 1849, confirming its long history as the town's parish church.
