Spring of 1702 de Cobeja Monument · Cobeja, La Sagra, Toledo A historic fountain in the town center bearing the inscription REINANDO CARLOS IIII AÑO DE 1702; SIENDO ALCALDE CELESTINO FERNANDES; ESTA OBRA SE YZO A EXPENSAS DE LOS PROPIOS. Located south of the municipality, it is the oldest surviving hydraulic structure in Cobeja: a central body with four light-stone spouts that channel water from an underground spring running through much of the municipal area. It originally also had a large pool, a washing place, and a trough for livestock; today only the central body of the spouts survives, surrounded by a basin that collects the water.
