The 1950 population peak

Villanueva de Bogas (Toledo) reached its peak population in 1950, with 1,254 inhabitants, having grown from the mere 304 residents it had in 1849. Since the mid-twentieth century the population has not stopped declining: the 2025 census records 657 inhabitants, little more than half the number at the municipality's moment of greatest strength.
