Reservoir of Finisterre Nature · Turleque, La Mancha de Toledo, Toledo The Finisterre reservoir, completed in 1983, lies 5 kilometres from Villanueva de Bogas, between the municipalities of Mora, Villanueva de Bogas, Tembleque and Turleque, on the course of the Algodor river. It has significant ecological value, being home to numerous species of waterfowl that settle and breed there, as well as other threatened species typical of the Mediterranean habitat, such as large birds of prey that find peace and food there, which is why it was declared a Refugio de Fauna (a regional wildlife-protection designation) under Decree 58/2020 of 22 September. Its waters are also used for fishing, with species such as carp, black bass and pumpkinseed sunfish. Photo: Marcos MG (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Turleque
