Curiosity · Tembleque, La Mancha de Toledo, Toledo

Image of Tembleque, not of the place itself.

The prior of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem granted the town its settlement charter in 1241, and in 1509 Queen Juana granted it the title of villa. Its prosperity was tied to the wool trade and to transhumance.
