Basins and endorheic plains Nature · Quero, La Mancha de Toledo, Toledo The municipal area of Quero, in the comarca of La Mancha de Toledo, is characterised by an abundance of endorheic hollows and plains, especially in its agricultural areas to the east and south, and belongs to the hydrological region of the Mancha Húmeda. Among its lagoons, the Laguna Grande stands out, with brackish waters beside the town and a former salt-extraction site, now integrated into a wetland complex under a LIFE project; there is also the laguna of El Taray, to the north of the town centre, where the Riánsares river enters through a grille before discharging its waters into the Cigüela, as well as seasonal lagoons such as those of Vadancho, la Sangría and Los Carros.
