The festivities of San Blas de Valdeverdeja (Toledo) are held on 3 February in honour of the town's patron saint, with religious acts and winter celebrations. That day cords are sold at the church which, worn around the neck like a necklace, are said to cure ailments of the throat, a devotional tradition specific to San Blas.
