Ciudad de Vascos Monument · Navalmoralejo, La Campana de Oropesa, Toledo Ruins of a 10th-century Muslim city located in the municipal area of Navalmoralejo, one of the most important Andalusi sites in the province of Toledo, which can be visited on Saturdays. It corresponds to a madina of Al-Andalus that was inhabited between the 9th and 12th centuries, when it was abandoned until the present day, and of which mainly the remains of its defences are preserved, along with references to its urban layout left by various travellers throughout history. Its present name may derive from the territory of Basak, one of the three districts then dependent on Talavera de la Reina, although some experts have proposed identifying it with the vanished madina of Nafza, of Berber origin, without agreement on the matter.
