Hermitage of la Virgen del Rosario de Alcañizo

The hermitage of the Virgen del Rosario of Alcañizo, in the Campana de Oropesa (Toledo), was inaugurated in 2002 in the presence of the then president of Castilla-La Mancha, José Bono, and the archbishop of Toledo, Francisco Álvarez Martínez, and is dedicated to the patroness of the town. It stands on the camino de Calera. Around it revolve a pilgrimage on the last weekend of May and the patronal festivities in honour of the Virgen del Rosario, held on the last weekend of August in the plaza Mayor of the village.
