The purchase of the lordship of Galve

In 1403 the admiral Diego Hurtado de Mendoza and the chief justice Diego López de Estúñiga jointly bought the town, cited in documents since 1136. The castle that dominates the settlement was raised afterwards by the house of Zúñiga over an earlier fortification.
