The parish church of Santa María la Blanca de Quer, the municipality's main historic building, was known in the mid-19th century as Nuestra Señora la Blanca; served then by a priest and a sexton, it held the status of mother church of the parish of Azuqueca, to which it was ecclesiastically linked.
