Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de El Cubillo de Uceda Monument · El Cubillo de Uceda, La Campiña, Guadalajara Catholic church built between the late 12th and early 13th centuries and remodelled in the 16th, with a rectangular floor plan, three naves, apse, presbytery, sacristy and tower, raised in rubble masonry with ashlar at the corners and brick on the apse and tower. It preserves a Mudéjar brick apse with a semicircular profile, one of the few examples of this type in the province of Guadalajara, with two superimposed bands of blind arches; on the west façade stands out the Plateresque doorway of the Toledo school, from the first half of the 16th century, with a decorated frieze and a niche holding the carving of San Miguel, and inside, the Mudéjar par-and-nudillo coffered ceiling covering the central nave. In 2011 its protection dossier as a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) was opened.
