The castle of Prince Juan Manuel

The infante don Juan Manuel, author of El conde Lucanor, received the seigneury in the fourteenth century and raised the fortress on the hill that dominates the town. In 1431 Juan de Silva received the place from royal hands, the origin of the county that bore the town's name.
