Gachas, puches and torcíos Curiosity · Saceda-Trasierra, La Alcarria Conquense, Cuenca Image of Saceda-Trasierra, not of the place itself. The village's traditional cuisine preserves dishes such as gachas, made with wheat flour, boiled and grated pork or beef liver, olive oil, paprika and caraway, which were formerly eaten by dipping bread and with all the diners sharing the same dish. Puches are a sweet dish of wheat or corn flour, oil and sugar; papartas are cakes fried in very hot olive oil made with bread dough; and torcíos are sweet fried rings shaped like a corkscrew and coated in sugar.
