Festivities of San Pantaleón de Cabezarrubias del Puerto Activity · Cabezarrubias del Puerto, Valle de Alcudia, Ciudad Real Image of Cabezarrubias del Puerto, not of the place itself. The Fiestas de San Pantaleón, patron saint of Cabezarrubias del Puerto, originated in a vow made by the village in 1834, during a cholera epidemic: the residents promised to hold festivities with bull runs (encierros) and bullfighting events in his honour if the disease stopped. Since then the tradition of the bull runs and popular bull-related festivities has been kept up during the summer patronal festival.
