Building belonging to the railway from Peñarroya to Puertollano and Fuente del Arco, a narrow-gauge mining-industrial line built by the Sociedad Minera y Metalúrgica de Peñarroya to carry out the ore from its mining operations, which came to exceed 200 kilometres and included an electrified section of about 55. Completed in 1924, it passed into state hands in 1956 and was closed in 1970 for lack of profitability; after closure, some of its stations were demolished and others restored for new uses, as is the case with this one, preserved in the municipality of Cabezarrubias del Puerto.
