Puerto Lápice celebrates its main festival in honour of Nuestra Señora del Buen Consejo from 7 to 10 September, with the main day on 8 September. The festivities begin on the afternoon of the 7th with a procession through the streets and the opening address, along with the crowning of the festival queens. The main day is given over to religious events, with the service in the morning and the procession at dusk. Alongside the religious events, races, dances and card and dominoes championships are held, rounding out the festive programme until the 10th.
