Roman villa of El Puente Nature · Albaladejo, Campo de Montiel, Ciudad Real Image of Albaladejo, not of the place itself. The Roman villa of El Puente, in Albaladejo (Campo de Montiel, Ciudad Real), is a 4th-century building used for both residential and agricultural purposes, laid out around a peristyle, located about two kilometres south of the present-day town centre. It had various rooms, a thermal bath area and a complex architectural layout. It preserves polychrome mosaic pavements of notable artistic quality, and its ruins survive today as one of the most notable testimonies to the Romanisation of the municipality.
