La Carrera del Niño is the Easter procession of Albaladejo, in the Campo de Montiel district (Ciudad Real), held during Holy Week. In it, the image of the Risen Christ is carried at a run on a bier through the fields and streets of the village until it is presented before the image of the Virgin, who at that moment exchanges her black mourning mantle for a white one, while drums and bugles announce the joy of the Resurrection.
