Roman bridge of Baebio Publio Venusto Monument · Granátula de Calatrava, Campo de Calatrava, Ciudad Real Image of Granátula de Calatrava, not of the place itself. The Roman bridge of Baebio Publio Venusto, from the 1st century, crosses the Jabalón river in the municipality of Granátula de Calatrava, near the sanctuary of Oreto y Zuqueca and the ancient Roman city of Oreto. It is partially submerged by the Jabalón reservoir and only visible when the water level drops. As early as the 19th century, Pascual Madoz's dictionary referred to it as "the famous Roman bridge known as that of Bebio".
