In the first edition, with 177 players in the international tournament, Alexander Grischuk and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov prevailed; in the second, with more than 240 participants, among them Judit Polgár, Vasili Ivanchuk and Viswanathan Anand, Alekséi Shírov, Daniel Fridman, Ivan Sokolov and Borís Gélfand topped the standings.
