Mycological Museum of Molinicos Monument · Molinicos, Sierra del Segura, Albacete A centre devoted to the fungi of the sierra, the only one of its kind in Castilla-La Mancha, located on the plaza Mayor of Molinicos, right in the centre of the town. More than two thousand five hundred varieties of mushrooms have been recorded in the municipality. The building that houses it, the former town hall known as the Casa del Nizcalo, was built in the mid-19th century, shortly after the municipality became independent, paid for with the felling of pines from the Dehesa de Torre-Pedro. It has had very varied uses, from town hall to school or library; in 1959 a four-faced clock tower was added, and in the early 21st century, after a refurbishment that in 2004 modernised its mechanism, its interior was fitted out as a museum.
