The church of Saint Michael the Archangel presides over Plaza Adolfo Suárez, the main square of Corral-Rubio (Albacete). It is a Baroque temple from the 17th century, with a Classicist 18th-century portal decorated with pyramids topped with balls. Local tradition speaks of an underground tunnel that would have linked the temple with the palace of the Casa Grande, and that would have served as a refuge in times of war and attacks.
